Sarah Darby was born and raised in Mansfield, Texas. A Mansfield High School graduate, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2002 to attend Belmont University. After graduating from Belmont's prestigious School of Music, Sarah spent time working in and around the music industry in Nashville. She gained valuable experience as a worship leader, performer and studio singer and was privileged to work with some of the best in the industry.
In January 2009, Sarah returned to Mansfield to open Destiny Voice & Music Studio. She recognized a need for a studio in the DFW area with highly qualified instructors with music industry experience to provide the most practical training for aspiring singers and performers. From the very beginning, Destiny Studio has experienced tremendous growth and Sarah feels honored to have been able help cultivate talent and gifts of so many singers.
Sarah loves to sing and has had some exciting experiences performing, but far more importantly, she is passionate about people. "There is nothing that excites me more than to develop the God-given gifts and abilities in others and see their dreams become reality."
Her teaching focus is teens, adults, and students preparing for careers in the music business. In addition to coaching vocalists, she often works with bands and church worship teams. In 2017, Sarah joined the faculty at The King's University where she works with college students and worship leaders.
Outside of work and ministry, Sarah loves to spend time with her husband and girls - Sadie & Sophie, go to concerts and musicals, shop, travel, and eat lots of chocolate. Follow her on Facebook or Instagram!

Laya Hayes, actress & voice of Disney's Doc McStuffins "My vocal coach, Sarah Darby, taught me important breathing techniques and how to use my chest and head voice at certain times when singing. Through showcases and performance opportunities at Destiny Studio, I also learned how to be aware of myself on stage and learned the importance of good stage presence. Hard work pays off-- there is no Plan B. Follow your dreams!"
Lexi Lakatta "Taking lessons from Sarah was the best decision I've ever made with my musical career. She pushed me to do better and encouraged me to get to where I am now. If it weren't for Sarah, I wouldn't be writing my own music and playing regular gigs!"
